This extensive range of PVCu valves includes manual and actuated options designed to control, isolate, or regulate fluid flow in thermoplastic pipe systems. Options include 2-way and 3-way ball valves, check valves, and electrically or pneumatically actuated valves, all engineered for durability, ease of use, and compatibility with a wide variety of industrial and commercial applications. Manufactured from unplasticised PVC, these valves are lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and offer excellent chemical resistance, making them suitable for both aggressive fluids and potable water systems.
Size Range: Dependent on valve type, generally 16mm to 315mm
Operating Temperature: 5°C to 60°C
Pressure Ratings: up to 16 bar (depending on size)
Standards: BS 3505, BS 4346, EN 1452 Parts 1, 2, and 3
Approvals: WRAS and BSI Kitemark available for select models
Chemical Resistance: Suitable for diluted acids, alkalis, salts, and many water-soluble solvents
Note: Not suitable for use with compressed air or aromatic/chlorinated hydrocarbons
Installation Overview
Preparation: Confirm valve type and pressure rating are suitable for the application. Inspect the valve and connecting pipework for debris or damage. Ensure alignment with the flow direction indicated on the valve body (where applicable).
For plain-ended valves: Solvent weld connections using PVCu cement after chamfering, abrading, and cleaning the mating surfaces. Allow joints to cure fully (minimum 24 hours recommended) before pressure testing.
For threaded valves: Apply PTFE tape to male threads. Tighten carefully by hand or using a strap wrench. Do not overtighten or use metal tools.
Commissioning: Gradually introduce pressure to test valve integrity. Check for leaks and verify smooth valve operation under working conditions. Avoid using near open flames or in poorly ventilated spaces due to solvent vapours during installation.
