Philmac PP Threaded Fittings offer a durable, corrosion-resistant solution for creating secure BSP-threaded connections in cold water systems. Manufactured from high-quality polypropylene, these fittings are lead-free, lightweight, and designed to perform in a wide range of applications. With a maximum working pressure of up to 16 bar (at 20°C) for fittings up to 2", they are an ideal choice for installations requiring chemical resistance, reliability, and long service life in demanding environments.
Application
Cold Water Distribution: Suitable for domestic, commercial, and light industrial systems using BSP-threaded components.
Agricultural and Irrigation Systems: Ideal for hose connections, tank outlets, and field pipework installations exposed to the elements.
Corrosive Environments: Effective in areas where metal fittings would degrade, such as coastal or chemical-rich locations.
General Plumbing and Utilities: Widely used for connecting pumps, valves, and pipework in non-potable water supply networks.

Threaded couplers
Tees and elbows
Nipples, adaptors, and end caps
Standards Compliance: Manufactured to BSP standards for secure thread compatibility
Installation Overview
Preparation
Clean the threads on both male and female components. Apply PTFE tape to male threads to ensure a watertight seal—avoid sealing pastes which may degrade plastics.
Assembly
Thread the fitting onto the male component by hand. Use a strap wrench to fully tighten without damaging the fitting—avoid overtightening.
Connection to Pipe Systems
Suitable for use with compression fittings, valves, and adapters within MDPE or other plastic piping networks.
Testing & Commissioning
Pressurise the system gradually and inspect for leaks. Recheck connections after testing to ensure continued integrity under operating pressure.
