How Does The CC Concept Work?

The Prevost CC Concept system works by providing a fast, secure, and modular way to build and modify compressed air networks using aluminium fittings and pipes. It replaces traditional threaded, glued, or welded connections with a more efficient clamp-based system that uses connecting collars and flanges.

Pipe & Fitting Selection:

  • The system uses PPS1 aluminium pipes and a range of CC Concept fittings—such as elbows, tees, unions, reducers, and valves—that match the required layout and pipe sizes (from 50mm to 160mm OD).

Positioning the Fittings:

  • Each fitting is designed with CC ends, which are smooth, machined surfaces that accept the pipes directly.

Using Connecting Collars & Flanges:

  • Flanges are placed over the pipe and align with the flange face on the fitting.
  • Collars fit around the connection, clamping the pipe and fitting together.
  • A seal (typically blue) sits between them, ensuring an airtight, pressure-resistant joint.
  • The bolts in the flange and collar set are tightened to compress the seal and lock the connection in place.

Final Assembly:

  • Once tightened, the pipe is securely fixed to the fitting. The PPS Grip Concept inside the fitting includes a gripping ring and seal that together prevent leaks and ensure the joint can withstand up to 16 bar of pressure.
