Plasson Compression Fitting Adaptors

Plasson Compression Fitting Adaptors provide a dependable and WRAS-approved solution for transitioning between standard polyethylene (PE) pipes and alternative connection types within a Plasson compression system. Designed exclusively for use with Plasson fittings, these adaptors ensure compatibility and a secure, leak-free connection in water distribution and irrigation networks. Manufactured to high standards and with ease of installation in mind, they are ideal for creating reliable connections to threaded metal, plastic, or other specialty components.

Application

  • Potable Water Networks: Safe for use in WRAS-approved cold water supply systems.
  • Irrigation and Landscape Installations: Facilitates connection between PE pipes and valves, taps, or other non-PE components.
  • Utility and Civil Works: Used for transition points in water infrastructure and domestic service connections.
  • Agricultural and Livestock Systems: Provides robust interfacing between plastic pipework and metal outlets or feeders.

Installation Overview

  • Preparation: Cut the PE pipe square and deburr the edges. Mark insertion depth for proper engagement.
  • Assembly with Plasson Fittings: Insert the pipe into the Plasson compression side of the adaptor until it reaches the internal stop. Tighten the compression nut by hand, then finish tightening using a wrench—do not overtighten.
  • Threaded Connection (if applicable): Apply PTFE tape to male threads or ensure mating female threads are clean. Hand-tighten and secure with a strap wrench—do not use pipe wrenches or apply sealing paste.
  • Testing: Once installed, pressure test the system in line with installation guidelines (typically 1.5x working pressure). Ensure no movement or twisting after joint completion.
