PVCu Metric
This high-performance thermoplastic pipework system is widely used across industrial and commercial applications for transporting liquids, including mildly aggressive substances. Its excellent chemical resistance, non-toxic formulation, and long design life make it a preferred solution in sectors such as chemical processing, water treatment, and food and beverage production. With a smooth bore for minimal pressure loss and a robust operating temperature range, it delivers both reliability and efficiency.

Installation Overview
- Cutting and Preparation: Use a suitable pipe cutter or fine-toothed saw to ensure square cuts. Deburr and chamfer pipe ends (approx. 3mm x 45°) to avoid displacing solvent cement during joint assembly.
- Cleaning and Priming: Abrade the pipe and fitting socket using coarse emery cloth. Clean surfaces thoroughly using a lint-free cloth dampened with MEK cleaner to remove any dust or residue.
- Jointing with Solvent Cement: Apply a generous, even layer of solvent cement to both mating surfaces. Assemble components quickly, without twisting, and hold in place to allow initial set. Wipe away any excess cement.
- Curing Time: Allow at least 24 hours at 20°C before pressure testing the system. Ensure ventilation during installation to disperse solvent fumes.
- Pressure Testing: Test system at 1.5 times the rated pressure of the lowest-rated component, only after full curing has been achieved.
