Installation Overview

  • Surface Preparation: Lightly abrade the pipe ends and fittings using emery cloth
  • Cleaning: Apply MEK Cleaner to remove residue and ensure proper bonding
  • Jointing: Use ABS solvent cement to create chemically bonded joints
  • Curing: Allow suitable curing time depending on ambient temperature
  • Support and Anchoring: Use appropriate bracket spacing and independently support valves or heavy components
  • Thermal Expansion: Allow for movement with expansion loops or anchors, particularly in long runs or temperature-variable environments
