10 Bar Stainless Steel Fittings
Our range of 10 bar stainless steel one-touch push-in fittings, manufactured by CDC Pneumatics and Kelm, offers a high-performance solution for demanding pneumatic and fluid-handling applications. Designed for fast, secure, and tool-free installation, these fittings provide outstanding corrosion resistance and long-term reliability - especially where aggressive media or harsh environments are present.
Constructed entirely from 316 stainless steel, they deliver exceptional strength, chemical resistance, and temperature stability. All seals are FDA certified, making them suitable for sensitive and high-purity applications. Despite their robust design, the fittings remain impressively lightweight, ensuring easy handling and efficient installation.
These reusable one-touch fittings are compatible with polyurethane (PU) and nylon tube and are widely used for the transportation of compressed air, steam, water, and other compatible liquids. With a working temperature range of -20°C to +200°C (tube dependent) and a maximum pressure of 10 bar, they are engineered to perform reliably across a wide variety of industrial environments.
Key Features & Benefits
- One-touch connection: Instant tube engagement
- Push the tube into the collet to form a secure, leak-free seal within seconds
- Easy tool-free disconnection: Simple collet release
- Apply light pressure to the collet ring to remove the tube - no tools or heat required
- 316 stainless steel body & collet: Superior corrosion protection
- Ideal for aggressive media, washdown areas, and environments where hygiene and durability are essential
- FDA-certified FKM O-rings: Safe for sensitive media
- Ensures compatibility with food-grade processes and high-purity applications
- Wide media compatibility: Air, steam, water & compatible liquids
- Versatile performance across pneumatic and low-pressure fluid systems
- High temperature tolerance: -20°C to +200°C
- Suitable for both chilled processes and high-temperature steam lines (tube dependent)
- 10 bar pressure rating: Reliable system performance
- Designed for stable operation in industrial pneumatic networks
- Reusable design: Reduced maintenance cost
- Components can be connected and disconnected repeatedly without loss of integrity
Fitting Types & Applications
Tube x Tube
These fittings connect two sections of tube of the same or different diameters.
Applications:
- Extending existing pneumatic circuits
- Creating branch lines
- Repairing or adapting tube lengths
- Connecting steam or washdown lines within stainless-steel systems
Tube x Stem
Tube x Stem fittings allow a tube connection on one side and a stem insertion on the other, acting as an adaptor or quick assembly point.
Applications:
- Plugging into push-in bodies or manifolds
- Rapid system modifications or expansions
- Space-restricted assemblies
- Creating modular pneumatic layouts
Tube x BSPP Thread
Tube to BSPP (parallel) thread fittings provide a secure interface between a push-in tube connection and parallel British Standard Pipe threads.
Applications:
- Connecting tubing to valve ports, regulators, manifolds, and cylinders
- Integrating stainless pneumatic components
- Use in systems requiring thread sealing via O-ring or bonded washer
Tube x BSPT Thread
Tube to BSPT (taper) thread fittings combine stainless steel push-in connections with tapered threads, offering excellent mechanical sealing.
Applications:
- High-integrity threaded joints in stainless assemblies
- Steam, washdown, or aggressive liquid lines
- Equipment requiring durable, vibration-resistant thread engagement
Why Choose Stainless Steel One-Touch Fittings Over Plastic Options?
Plastic push-in fittings (with nickel-plated brass bodies) are ideal for general compressed air use - but stainless steel fittings offer significant performance advantages in demanding environments:
Superior Corrosion Resistance
Stainless steel is immune to rust, chemical damage, and corrosion - perfect for:
- Washdown or hygienic environments
- Coastal and marine locations
- Chemical processing equipment
- Outdoor installations
Higher Temperature Tolerance
Plastic push-in fittings are generally limited to around 60°C.
Stainless steel versions operate up to 200°C, enabling use with:
- Steam lines
- Hot water or high-temperature liquids
- Thermal processing systems
Enhanced Mechanical Strength
316 stainless steel offers far greater impact and crush resistance.
This is essential for:
- Heavy industrial sites
- Machinery with vibration or mechanical stress
- Long life and minimal maintenance environments
Greater Media Compatibility
Stainless steel accommodates a wider range of liquids and chemicals safely.
Ideal for:
- Solvents
- Aggressive liquids
- High-purity or FDA-sensitive processes
Longer Lifespan
While plastic fittings are cost-effective, stainless steel fittings provide:
- Far longer service life
- Reduced replacement frequency
- Lower whole-life operating cost
If reliability, hygiene, and durability matter, stainless steel is the better choice.
How to Connect & Disconnect Stainless Steel Push-In Fittings
Connecting the Tube
- Cut the tube squarely using a sharp tube cutter
- Ensure the tube is clean - remove burrs, moisture, or debris
- Push the tube firmly into the fitting until it bottoms out inside the collet
- Pull back gently to confirm the collet has gripped the tube securely
Your connection is now complete - no tools or thread sealant required.
Disconnecting the Tube
- Depress the stainless steel collet ring evenly using your fingertips
- While holding the collet down, pull the tube out smoothly
- The fitting is now ready to be reused or reinstalled
- Inspect the tube end - trim or clean if reinserting
This simple push-fit and release mechanism allows for fast installation in tight spaces and efficient maintenance during system adjustments or repairs.
