Our range of Georg Fischer ABS 2-way ball valves delivers reliable shut-off and flow control for demanding industrial and commercial pipework systems. Designed for durability, safety and ease of use, these valves are suited to everything from clean water applications to aggressive chemical processes.
Manufactured from acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) and engineered to exacting standards by Georg Fischer, these valves combine corrosion resistance, high strength and long-term performance in challenging environments.
Available in plain and threaded configurations, sizes range from 1/2" to 4", making them suitable for small-bore control lines right through to large-scale fluid handling systems.
546 Pro Ball Valve - Industry-Leading Performance
The 546 Pro ball valve is built around a modular construction, allowing it to be configured for manual, electric or pneumatic actuation, with optional position feedback and accessories. This makes it an ideal choice for applications where automation, reliability and traceability are essential.
The valve operates using a rotating ball with a straight-through bore, delivering full flow when open and secure shut-off with a 90° turn. It is primarily used for on/off control but can also be used for regulating flow where required.

Union Bushing & Locking Function
The hand lever doubles as a fitting tool for installing the union bushings, improving ease of installation and maintenance.
The reverse-threaded union bushing prevents accidental loosening when removing couplings or threaded connections.
The integrated locking ring allows the valve to be locked securely in the open or closed position to prevent unauthorised operation - ideal for safety-critical systems.
Installation & Maintenance Guidance
Always install the valve in the open position to avoid damaging the ball or seals during fitting
Use only silicone-based grease on seals - mineral oil and petroleum-based lubricants will damage the materials
For silicone-free versions, follow the manufacturer’s dedicated lubrication instructions.
Under normal clear-water conditions, no routine maintenance is required, but:
Check periodically for external leakage
Perform a functional test once or twice per year if the valve remains in a fixed position for long periods
