MDPE Pipe Black is suitable for mains water, drainage and sewerage applications and can be used in above ground installations where light ingress is possible or below ground. MDPE Pipe Black is also known as Alkathene pipe, PE pipe, Polypipe, Water pipe, Black Water pipe and PE80 pipe. Our MDPE Push Fit Fittings and MDPE Brass Taps can be used with MDPE Pipe Black.

Delivery:

When ordering MDPE Pipe Coils that are 50mm and above, please consider the weight and bulk of what you are ordering. An MDPE Pipe that is 50m x 63mm weighs approx 50kgs; anything above this will need to be off loaded and manoeuvred by mechanical means. The following pipe sizes have to be delivered by our own dedicated transport and not on an overnight carrier:
 
100m x 50mm, 150m x 50mm, 100m x 63mm, 150m x 63mm, and all sizes and lengths from 90mm to 180mm.

Material:

MDPE Pipe Black is pipework made from Medium Density Polyethylene which is a light, durable and flexible material. It is suitable for above ground industrial applications due to its immunity to corrosion, its internal abrasion resistance, stress cracking resistance and its resistance to a variety of chemicals. MDPE Pipe Black is not susceptible to rot, rust, corrosion or loss of wall thickness.

Size relates to the outside diameter of the pipe. We have the following sizes of MDPE Pipe available: 20mm, 25mm, 32mm, 50mm, 63mm, 90mm, 110mm, 125mm, 160mm and 180mm.

 

Approvals & Standards:

Our MDPE Pipe Black is suitable for potable water transport for human consumption as it has been WRc Tested and WRAS approved. Water Standards: ISO 4427:2007, BS EN 15494:2003 and BS 6572:1985.
