Assembly Guide – Waltech L Series (Light Duty)

Ensure airtight, safe, and durable connections by following this streamlined assembly approach:

  1. Tube Preparation - Use a tube cutter or fine saw for a clean, square cut. Remove burrs and ensure outer surface is clean.
  2. Component Setup - Slide the nut and cutting ring onto the tube. Push the tube into the fitting body until it seats firmly.
  3. Initial Tightening - Hand-tighten the nut until it is snug. Then, using a wrench, tighten according to applicable DIN 2353 guidelines for light-duty — typically around 1 to 1.5 turns beyond finger-tight, but always refer to official torque tables.
  4. Verify Bite Integrity - If pre-assembled, slip the fitting apart and check for a continuous bite ring marking. Reassemble and tighten until a stop or pressure point is felt.
  5. In-System Installation - Fit the assembly into the hydraulic system and apply the final torque as per specification. Avoid over-tightening to prevent damage to ring or tube.
