Description
The Vulcathene Dilution Recovery Trap is a large-capacity anti-siphonic trap designed for use within laboratory and chemical waste systems where controlled dilution and recovery of liquids is required. Suitable for 38mm Vulcathene pipework, the trap provides a reliable water seal while allowing safe collection and disposal of aggressive or hazardous fluids.
With a holding capacity of up to 2.3 litres and a 76mm liquid seal, the trap helps prevent the loss of trap seal due to siphonic action, maintaining effective odour control and system integrity. The adjustable height inlet allows easier alignment with existing waste pipework, simplifying installation on site.
Maintenance is straightforward, as the trap can be easily emptied by unscrewing the removable base. This makes routine inspection and cleaning quick and safe, reducing downtime in laboratory environments. The purple 1½" BSP inlet includes a loose nut coupling for direct connection to a waste outlet or drip cup tail.
Supplied complete with a nut and olive, the trap can be configured as a ‘P’ trap for 38mm pipe. By adding a compatible 38mm bend, it can also be converted into an ‘S’ trap configuration, offering flexibility to suit different installation layouts.
