Description
The Vulcathene Anti-Siphon Bottle Trap is a robust and dependable solution for chemical waste systems where maintaining a reliable water seal is critical, even under demanding operating conditions.
Designed with a 76mm liquid seal, this trap effectively resists siphonage and prevents loss of seal, helping to protect laboratory and industrial environments from odours and backflow. Its anti-siphonic performance makes it particularly suitable for installations subject to pressure fluctuations or intermittent discharge.
For ease of maintenance, the base of the trap can be fully unscrewed from the body, allowing quick access for cleaning and inspection without disturbing surrounding pipework. An adjustable height inlet simplifies connection to Vulcathene waste pipe, offering flexibility during installation.
The trap is supplied with a purple-coloured 1½" BSP loose nut coupling for direct connection to waste outlets or drip cup tails. The ‘P’ outlet configuration includes a nut and olive to suit 38mm Vulcathene mechanical pipe. Where an ‘S’ trap arrangement is required, the addition of a compatible 38mm bend allows straightforward conversion.
Manufactured from chemically resistant co-polymer polypropylene, the anti-siphon bottle trap is well suited to aggressive waste streams and long-term service in laboratory and process environments.
