Description
This Enfusion U-Bend is designed to connect two lengths of Vulcathene pipe through a full 180° change of direction, allowing pipework to return back on itself within chemical waste drainage systems. It is commonly used where space constraints or system layout require a compact return configuration.
The fitting incorporates Enfusion sockets at both ends, enabling each connection to be fully fused to the pipe using the Enfusion Control Unit. During installation, the integral resistance wires moulded into the sockets are energised to deliver a controlled electrofusion process, ensuring consistent fusion temperature, time and joint quality at both connections.
Manufactured from black co-polymer polypropylene, the U-bend provides excellent resistance to aggressive chemical waste and elevated operating temperatures. Where pipework is buried, routed overhead, installed within ceiling voids or positioned within drainage stacks, Enfusion jointing offers a secure and dependable alternative to mechanical connections.
A ‘P’ trap configuration can be formed by combining the U-bend with a compatible single socket swept bend, allowing further flexibility in system design.
