Description
Designed specifically for retrofit and modification work, this Enfusion slip coupling is used where a new branch connection is required on an existing Vulcathene drainage stack. It allows installers to introduce additional pipework without dismantling large sections of the system, making it ideal for upgrades, extensions or layout changes in live laboratory and commercial environments.
Jointing is achieved using the Enfusion Control Unit, which energises the integral resistance wire moulded into the fitting. This creates a controlled electrofusion process that bonds the coupling securely to the pipe, producing a high integrity joint within minutes. The result is a consistent, repeatable fusion that delivers optimum performance at the joint interface.
Manufactured from black co-polymer polypropylene, the slip coupling offers excellent chemical resistance and long-term durability, even when exposed to aggressive laboratory waste and elevated temperatures. Where pipework is buried, run overhead in ceiling voids, or installed within drainage stacks, the Enfusion method provides a reliable alternative to mechanical jointing.
