Description
Designed to join two Vulcathene pipes of differing diameters, this Enfusion reducing coupling provides a secure and permanent transition between pipe sizes within chemical waste drainage systems. It is ideal for applications where pipe runs need to step down or up in diameter without compromising joint integrity or chemical resistance.
The fitting is designed with an Enfusion socket on one end, while the reduced spigot end is fused into a larger Enfusion socket, creating a strong, uniform joint. Fusion is achieved using the Enfusion Control Unit, which energises the integral resistance wire moulded into the socket to deliver a controlled electrofusion process. This ensures consistent fusion time, temperature and fit at the joint interface.
Manufactured from black co-polymer polypropylene, the reducing coupling offers excellent resistance to aggressive chemical waste and elevated operating temperatures. Where pipework is buried, installed overhead in ceiling voids, or located within drainage stacks, Enfusion jointing provides a preferred alternative to mechanical connections.
