Description
This Enfusion P-trap is designed to provide an effective liquid seal within Vulcathene chemical waste drainage systems, helping to prevent the escape of odours and gases while maintaining secure, fused pipe connections. It is typically installed beneath sinks, laboratory equipment and process outlets where chemical waste is discharged into the drainage system.
Supplied as three loose components, the P-trap allows flexible installation and alignment on site. Fusion to the pipework is carried out using the Enfusion Control Unit, which energises the integral resistance wires moulded into the Enfusion sockets to create a controlled electrofusion joint. This process ensures consistent fusion temperature, time and joint integrity at critical connection points.
Manufactured from black co-polymer polypropylene, the P-trap offers excellent resistance to aggressive chemical waste and elevated operating temperatures. Where pipework is buried, routed overhead, installed within ceiling voids or located in drainage stacks, Enfusion jointing provides a dependable alternative to mechanical connections.
