Description
The Vulcathene Enfusion Cleanout Plug provides a practical and accessible point for draining, inspection and rodding of chemical waste pipework. It is designed to simplify maintenance tasks by allowing blocked sections of pipe to be cleared without dismantling the surrounding system.
The fitting incorporates a plain spigot end that is fused directly into an Enfusion socket using the Enfusion Control Unit, creating a secure electrofusion joint. The opposite end features a removable threaded plug, which can be unscrewed to allow direct access to the pipe bore. PTFE tape should be applied to the plug thread during installation to ensure a reliable seal.
Available for pipe sizes from 38mm to 102mm, the cleanout plug is suitable for use throughout laboratory, healthcare and industrial chemical waste systems. For installations within 152mm pipework, a 152mm to 102mm reducer should be used in conjunction with a 102mm cleanout plug.
Manufactured from black co-polymer polypropylene, the fitting offers excellent resistance to aggressive chemical waste and elevated temperatures. In installations where pipework is buried, routed overhead, installed in ceiling voids or incorporated into drainage stacks, Enfusion jointing provides a dependable alternative to mechanical access points.
The stated A dimension represents the disassembly length of the fitting and includes a 13mm clearance allowance to aid removal and servicing.
