Description
The DU Ball Valve is a heavy-duty isolation valve designed for reliable flow control within HTA hot and cold water systems. Manufactured from high-performance CPVC, it offers excellent resistance to corrosion, scaling and chemical attack, making it well suited to demanding commercial and industrial water installations.
Unlike standard ball valves, the DU ball valve features a built-in anchoring system to support its increased weight. Two mounting points with threaded brass inserts allow the valve to be securely fixed to a structure, helping to reduce stress on the surrounding pipework and ensuring long-term system stability.
The valve incorporates a double union design, allowing it to be easily removed for maintenance or replacement without disturbing the rest of the pipeline. A smooth internal bore promotes efficient flow and helps maintain pump performance while reducing pressure losses and the risk of limescale or biofilm build-up.
Manufactured as part of the HTA system by Aliaxis, the DU ball valve integrates seamlessly with HTA pipes and fittings. Solvent weld connections eliminate the need for hot works, providing a safe, efficient and cost-effective alternative to metal valve assemblies.
