Description
This composite union fitting is designed to connect metric PVCu pipework to female BSP threaded metal components in a secure and serviceable manner. One end solvent welds directly onto metric PVCu pipe, while the brass female threaded union allows connection to male BSP fittings, valves or equipment. When installed correctly using the appropriate solvent cement and cleaner, it forms a strong, permanent joint with the pipe, resulting in a neat and professional finish across the system.
The union design, combined with an EPDM seal, enables easy disconnection without disturbing the solvent-welded joint, making it ideal for installations where future maintenance, inspection or replacement may be required. The PVCu body provides excellent resistance to corrosion and chemicals, while the brass threads and nut deliver strength and reliable thread engagement when interfacing with metal systems. Manufactured in accordance with recognised British standards and WRAS approved, it is suitable for potable water and a wide range of industrial applications.
