Description
The Geberit Mapress Copper Female Threaded Union Elbow 90° is designed to provide a secure 90-degree directional change in copper piping systems while connecting copper pipes to threaded components, such as valves or fittings, with a female thread. This fitting is ideal for use in potable water systems, as well as open and closed heating and cooling circuits. The union elbow offers the convenience of easy disassembly, making it suitable for installations that may require future maintenance or replacement. Its press-fit technology ensures a fast, safe, and fire-free installation.
Key Features
Durable Gunmetal Construction: Made from high-quality gunmetal (CuSn5Zn5Pb2-C), the female threaded union elbow offers excellent corrosion resistance, ensuring long-lasting performance in both potable water and heating/cooling systems.
Brass Union Nut: The fitting is equipped with a brass union nut, allowing for easy assembly and disassembly, making it perfect for systems where components may need to be replaced or serviced in the future.
Press-Fit Technology: The press-fit system eliminates the need for welding or soldering, providing a quick, safe, and fire-free installation. This technology reduces installation time and the risk of fire hazards, making it suitable for residential and commercial projects.
Leak Detection: The fitting is designed to be leaky if unpressed, allowing installers to easily identify any unpressed connections during installation, ensuring the system is fully secure before use.
Reliable Seal and Gasket: The union elbow includes a CIIR black seal ring for a reliable, leak-proof connection. It also features a flat gasket made of EPDM, capable of withstanding media temperatures between 0°C and 100°C, making it suitable for a wide range of thermal applications.
Protected Installation: The pressing socket comes with a transparent protection plug, ensuring that the seal rings remain clean and free from debris during installation, maintaining a hygienic connection.
Versatile Application: The elbow is suitable for surface-mounted and concealed installations, offering flexibility for use in a wide variety of plumbing and heating systems, including potable water, heating, and cooling circuits.

(1) Usable negative pressure for Geberit piping systems: The usable negative pressure results from the air pressure at the installation site minus the absolute pressure of 200 mbar. Example: 980 mbar air pressure - 200 mbar absolute pressure = 780 mbar usable negative pressure in the piping system
(2) Usable negative pressure for Geberit piping systems: The usable negative pressure is calculated on the basis of the air pressure at the place of installation minus the absolute pressure of 200 mbar. Example: 980 mbar air pressure - 200 mbar absolute pressure = 780 mbar usable negative pressure in the piping system
(3) Lifetime with collector standstill: 200 h/a at 180 °C; 60 h/a at 200 °C; total 500 h/lifetime at 220 °C
(4) Use of inhibitors, corrosion-protection agents, antifreeze agents only after approval by Geberit
(5) 10 bar / 1000 kPa for MasterFix and MeplaFix
(6) Approved up to d54 mm
(7) Following Geberit approval
(8) Oil purity class in accordance with ISO 8573-1:2010E; for details on moisture and particles, see technical information "Geberit Piping Systems for Compressed Air Installations"
(9) Not for fittings with EPDM, black seal rings
