Description
The Geberit Mapress Copper Female Threaded Elbow 90° is designed to create a secure 90-degree directional change in copper piping systems while connecting to threaded components, such as valves or fittings, with a female thread. This elbow is ideal for potable water installations, as well as open and closed heating and cooling circuits. The press-fit technology allows for a quick, safe, and fire-free installation, making it suitable for both new installations and renovation projects.
Key Features
Durable Gunmetal Construction: Manufactured from high-quality gunmetal (CuSn5Zn5Pb2-C), the female threaded elbow offers excellent resistance to corrosion and ensures long-lasting durability and performance in both potable water and heating/cooling applications.
Press-Fit Technology: The press-fit system eliminates the need for welding or soldering, reducing installation time and fire hazards. This makes it particularly useful for residential installations and areas where hot works are restricted.
Leak Detection: Designed to be leaky if unpressed, the fitting ensures that installers can easily identify any unpressed connections during installation, guaranteeing a secure and reliable system.
Reliable Seal: The elbow is fitted with a CIIR black seal ring, providing a dependable leak-proof connection capable of handling various system pressures and temperatures.
Protected Installation: Equipped with a transparent protection plug, the pressing socket ensures that the seal ring is protected from dirt and debris during installation, helping maintain a clean and hygienic connection.
Easy Identification: The fitting includes pressing indicators, allowing installers to easily confirm correct installation and avoid confusion with third-party products, ensuring proper use and reducing the risk of installation errors.
Versatile Application: Suitable for both surface-mounted and concealed installations, the Geberit Mapress Copper Female Threaded Elbow 90° can be used in a variety of plumbing systems, including potable water, heating, and cooling circuits.

(1) Usable negative pressure for Geberit piping systems: The usable negative pressure results from the air pressure at the installation site minus the absolute pressure of 200 mbar. Example: 980 mbar air pressure - 200 mbar absolute pressure = 780 mbar usable negative pressure in the piping system
(2) Usable negative pressure for Geberit piping systems: The usable negative pressure is calculated on the basis of the air pressure at the place of installation minus the absolute pressure of 200 mbar. Example: 980 mbar air pressure - 200 mbar absolute pressure = 780 mbar usable negative pressure in the piping system
(3) Lifetime with collector standstill: 200 h/a at 180 °C; 60 h/a at 200 °C; total 500 h/lifetime at 220 °C
(4) Use of inhibitors, corrosion-protection agents, antifreeze agents only after approval by Geberit
(5) 10 bar / 1000 kPa for MasterFix and MeplaFix
(6) Approved up to d54 mm
(7) Following Geberit approval
(8) Oil purity class in accordance with ISO 8573-1:2010E; for details on moisture and particles, see technical information "Geberit Piping Systems for Compressed Air Installations"
(9) Not for fittings with EPDM, black seal rings
