What is a Speedfit Tap Connector Used For?

The John Guest Speedfit Tap Connector is designed for connecting a pipe to a tap, facilitating a reliable and secure connection in plumbing systems. This straight connector is especially suited for both hot and cold water systems, as well as central heating systems. Featuring a grip and seal connection with a female BSPP thread, it allows for easy installation without the need for tools. Compatible with Polyethylene (PEX), Polybutylene (PB), and Copper pipe systems, this connector is versatile and practical for various plumbing applications. However, it is not suitable for use with gas, fuel, oil, or compressed air applications​​.

Installation Instructions

  1. Preparation: Ensure the pipe ends are clean and cut squarely.
  2. Insertion: Push the pipe fully into the fitting until it reaches the tube stop.
  3. Connecting: Hand turn onto the thread.
  4. Demounting: To release, unscrew the threaded end, pull the collet towards the body, and then pull the pipe out.
