Description
The Geberit Mapress Copper Stem Elbow 45° is designed to facilitate a 45-degree directional change in copper piping systems, making it ideal for tight spaces or applications requiring angled connections. This fitting is suitable for potable water installations, as well as open and closed heating and cooling circuits. With press-fit technology, the elbow provides a fast, reliable, and secure connection without the need for hot works like welding or soldering, ensuring a safe and cost-effective installation.
Key Features
Durable Copper Construction: Made from high-quality Cu-DHP copper CW024A (EN 1412), the stem elbow offers superior durability and corrosion resistance, making it perfect for long-lasting use in potable water, heating, and cooling systems.
Leak Detection: The fitting is designed to be leaky if unpressed for diameters up to 54 mm, helping installers easily identify any unpressed connections during the installation process for added reliability and safety.
High-Quality Seal Rings: For pipe diameters up to 54 mm, the fitting features a CIIR black seal ring, while larger diameters use an EPDM black seal ring. Both provide excellent sealing for leak-proof performance in various applications.
Press-Fit Technology: The press-fit connection eliminates the need for welding or soldering, reducing labour costs and eliminating fire hazards. This makes the stem elbow especially useful for renovations and residential installations.
Clean and Hygienic Installation: The seal rings are protected from dirt during installation, ensuring a clean and hygienic process, which is essential in potable water systems.
Clear Identification: The fitting is equipped with pressing indicators and transparent protection plugs, allowing installers to easily distinguish between materials and ensure correct installation, reducing the risk of errors.
Economical and Efficient: No consumables like gas or oxygen are required, making the installation faster, more economical, and environmentally friendly. This simple connection technology reduces overall installation costs.
Versatile Applications: The Geberit Mapress Copper Stem Elbow 45° is suitable for both surface-mounted and concealed installations, providing versatility for a wide range of plumbing projects, from residential to industrial applications.

(1) Usable negative pressure for Geberit piping systems: The usable negative pressure results from the air pressure at the installation site minus the absolute pressure of 200 mbar. Example: 980 mbar air pressure - 200 mbar absolute pressure = 780 mbar usable negative pressure in the piping system
(2) Usable negative pressure for Geberit piping systems: The usable negative pressure is calculated on the basis of the air pressure at the place of installation minus the absolute pressure of 200 mbar. Example: 980 mbar air pressure - 200 mbar absolute pressure = 780 mbar usable negative pressure in the piping system
(3) Lifetime with collector standstill: 200 h/a at 180 °C; 60 h/a at 200 °C; total 500 h/lifetime at 220 °C
(4) Use of inhibitors, corrosion-protection agents, antifreeze agents only after approval by Geberit
(5) 10 bar / 1000 kPa for MasterFix and MeplaFix
(6) Approved up to d54 mm
(7) Following Geberit approval
(8) Oil purity class in accordance with ISO 8573-1:2010E; for details on moisture and particles, see technical information "Geberit Piping Systems for Compressed Air Installations"
(9) Not for fittings with EPDM, black seal rings
