Description
The Geberit Mapress Copper Male Adaptor is designed to connect copper piping systems to threaded components, such as valves or other fittings, via its male thread. It is particularly suited for potable water installations as well as open and closed heating and cooling circuits. The press-fit technology ensures quick, reliable connections without the need for hot works, making it an ideal solution for both new installations and renovations.
Key Features
Durable Material: Made from high-quality gunmetal (CuSn5Zn5Pb2-C), this adaptor provides excellent corrosion resistance and long-lasting durability, making it ideal for demanding applications in potable water, heating, and cooling systems.
Leak Detection: Designed to be leaky if unpressed for pipe diameters up to 54 mm, allowing installers to easily detect any missed connections before completing the installation.
Secure Seal: Fitted with a CIIR black seal ring for diameters up to 54 mm and an EPDM black seal ring for larger diameters, the adaptor ensures a leak-proof connection under various conditions.
No Hot Works Required: The press-fit connection technology eliminates the need for welding or soldering, significantly reducing the risk of fire hazards and making installations quicker and more economical.
Ease of Use: Equipped with pressing indicators and transparent protection plugs, the male adaptor is designed to ensure an accurate and efficient installation process while helping to distinguish it from third-party products.
Clean and Hygienic: Ideal for potable water installations, the seal rings are protected from dirt during the installation process, ensuring a clean and hygienic connection.
Versatile Application: The adaptor is suitable for both surface-mounted and concealed installations in a wide range of plumbing systems, including residential and industrial applications.

(1) Usable negative pressure for Geberit piping systems: The usable negative pressure results from the air pressure at the installation site minus the absolute pressure of 200 mbar. Example: 980 mbar air pressure - 200 mbar absolute pressure = 780 mbar usable negative pressure in the piping system
(2) Usable negative pressure for Geberit piping systems: The usable negative pressure is calculated on the basis of the air pressure at the place of installation minus the absolute pressure of 200 mbar. Example: 980 mbar air pressure - 200 mbar absolute pressure = 780 mbar usable negative pressure in the piping system
(3) Lifetime with collector standstill: 200 h/a at 180 °C; 60 h/a at 200 °C; total 500 h/lifetime at 220 °C
(4) Use of inhibitors, corrosion-protection agents, antifreeze agents only after approval by Geberit
(5) 10 bar / 1000 kPa for MasterFix and MeplaFix
(6) Approved up to d54 mm
(7) Following Geberit approval
(8) Oil purity class in accordance with ISO 8573-1:2010E; for details on moisture and particles, see technical information "Geberit Piping Systems for Compressed Air Installations"
(9) Not for fittings with EPDM, black seal rings
