Description
The Geberit Mapress Copper Coupling is designed to securely connect two copper pipes in a press-fit system, ensuring a reliable and long-lasting joint. This coupling is ideal for potable water installations and can also be used in both open and closed heating or cooling circuits. Its press-fit technology enables fast and efficient installation without the need for hot works, making it a safe and economical solution for various plumbing projects.
Key Features
High-Quality Copper Material: Made from Cu-DHP copper CW024A (EN 1412), the coupling fitting ensures durability, excellent conductivity, and corrosion resistance.
Safe and Efficient Installation: The press-fit technology eliminates the need for welding or soldering, reducing fire hazards and lowering labour costs.
Leak Detection: Fittings are leaky if unpressed up to diameters of 54 mm, ensuring that any missed connections are easily detected before finalising the installation.
Reliable Sealing: Fitted with CIIR black seal rings for sizes up to 54 mm, and EPDM black seal rings for sizes over 54 mm, offering excellent sealing performance.
Universal Application: Suitable for both surface-mounted and concealed installations, the coupling can be used in a variety of plumbing and heating systems.
Colour Indicators: Features transparent protection plugs and colour-coded indicator rings, making it easy to identify product materials and application ranges, preventing mix-ups with third-party products.

(1) Usable negative pressure for Geberit piping systems: The usable negative pressure results from the air pressure at the installation site minus the absolute pressure of 200 mbar. Example: 980 mbar air pressure - 200 mbar absolute pressure = 780 mbar usable negative pressure in the piping system
(2) Usable negative pressure for Geberit piping systems: The usable negative pressure is calculated on the basis of the air pressure at the place of installation minus the absolute pressure of 200 mbar. Example: 980 mbar air pressure - 200 mbar absolute pressure = 780 mbar usable negative pressure in the piping system
(3) Lifetime with collector standstill: 200 h/a at 180 °C; 60 h/a at 200 °C; total 500 h/lifetime at 220 °C
(4) Use of inhibitors, corrosion-protection agents, antifreeze agents only after approval by Geberit
(5) 10 bar / 1000 kPa for MasterFix and MeplaFix
(6) Approved up to d54 mm
(7) Following Geberit approval
(8) Oil purity class in accordance with ISO 8573-1:2010E; for details on moisture and particles, see technical information "Geberit Piping Systems for Compressed Air Installations"
(9) Not for fittings with EPDM, black seal rings
