Description
The Geberit Mapress Copper Bend 15 is designed to facilitate smooth directional changes in copper piping systems, specifically enabling a 15-degree bend. It is ideal for potable water installations, as well as open and closed heating and cooling circuits. Using press-fit technology, the bend allows for quick, reliable, and fire-safe installation without the need for welding or soldering, making it a preferred choice for both residential and industrial applications.
Key Features
High-Quality Copper Material: Manufactured from Cu-DHP copper CW024A (EN 1412), the bend provides excellent durability and corrosion resistance, ensuring long-lasting performance in potable water and heating/cooling systems.
No Hot Works Required: The press-fit system eliminates the need for hot works like welding or soldering, reducing installation time and eliminating the risk of fire hazards. This makes it particularly suitable for renovations and confined spaces.
Leak Detection: The fitting is designed to be leaky if unpressed, ensuring that unpressed connections are easily identified during installation for added safety and reliability.
Clean and Hygienic: The seal rings are protected from dirt during installation, ensuring a clean and hygienic connection, especially important for potable water systems.
Colour-Coded Identification: The bend comes with colour-coded indicators to clearly distinguish between different materials and components, minimising the risk of confusion with third-party products.
Cost-Effective: With no need for consumables like gas or oxygen, the press-fit system reduces installation costs while making the process more efficient.
Versatile Application: Suitable for both surface-mounted and concealed installations, this bend can be used in a wide range of plumbing systems, offering flexibility for various project types.
Experienced and Trusted: Geberit has over 30 years of practical experience in press-fit technology, ensuring a reliable and trusted solution for plumbing and heating professionals.

(1) Usable negative pressure for Geberit piping systems: The usable negative pressure results from the air pressure at the installation site minus the absolute pressure of 200 mbar. Example: 980 mbar air pressure - 200 mbar absolute pressure = 780 mbar usable negative pressure in the piping system
(2) Usable negative pressure for Geberit piping systems: The usable negative pressure is calculated on the basis of the air pressure at the place of installation minus the absolute pressure of 200 mbar. Example: 980 mbar air pressure - 200 mbar absolute pressure = 780 mbar usable negative pressure in the piping system
(3) Lifetime with collector standstill: 200 h/a at 180 °C; 60 h/a at 200 °C; total 500 h/lifetime at 220 °C
(4) Use of inhibitors, corrosion-protection agents, antifreeze agents only after approval by Geberit
(5) 10 bar / 1000 kPa for MasterFix and MeplaFix
(6) Approved up to d54 mm
(7) Following Geberit approval
(8) Oil purity class in accordance with ISO 8573-1:2010E; for details on moisture and particles, see technical information "Geberit Piping Systems for Compressed Air Installations"
(9) Not for fittings with EPDM, black seal rings
