Description
This Enfusion glass adaptor is designed to connect Vulcathene Enfusion pipework to laboratory glass drainage systems, providing a secure transition between fused polypropylene pipe and nominal glass pipe sizes. It is commonly used in laboratory environments where glass pipework is specified for chemical compatibility or visibility requirements.
The fitting features an Enfusion socket on one end, which is fused directly onto Vulcathene pipe using the Enfusion Control Unit. The controlled electrofusion process energises the integral resistance wire moulded into the socket, ensuring a consistent and reliable fused joint. The opposite end is formed with a beaded spigot, designed to connect securely to DN40, DN50, DN80 or DN100 glass pipe using the appropriate coupling method.
Manufactured from flame retardant polypropylene, the glass adaptor offers excellent resistance to aggressive chemicals while also providing enhanced fire performance. Where pipework is buried, installed overhead, routed through ceiling voids or positioned within drainage stacks, Enfusion jointing delivers a dependable alternative to mechanical connections.
