Description
The VKD DualBlock 2-way ball valve is a high-performance, fully unionised isolation valve engineered for demanding industrial environments. Designed to withstand severe operating conditions, it incorporates advanced mechanical locking and sealing technologies to deliver long-term reliability and operational safety. Central to the design is FIP’s patented DualBlock system, which mechanically locks the union nuts once tightened, preventing loosening caused by vibration, pressure fluctuations or thermal expansion and maintaining consistent sealing integrity throughout the valve’s service life.
The double union construction allows the valve body to be removed easily from the pipeline for inspection or replacement of seals and seats without specialist tools. The patented Seat Stop ball seat carrier enables fine adjustment of the ball seats and compensation for axial pipe loads without draining the system, making it ideal for critical or continuously operating processes. Manufactured from PVCu with EPDM ball seals, the valve offers smooth operation, excellent chemical resistance and durability, with plain union ends for solvent cement welding and an ergonomic VKD-style handle that incorporates a removable ball seat adjustment tool.
