The ABS Metric Composite Union Plain F x Thread F Brass fitting provides a reliable and serviceable transition between metric ABS pipework and BSP male threaded components. Featuring a solvent-weld ABS socket on one side and a brass female threaded union on the other, this composite fitting allows for easy installation, maintenance and future disconnection without disturbing bonded pipework.

The fitting incorporates a DZR brass threaded insert and retaining nut, manufactured to BS 2872 and WRAS approved, ensuring excellent corrosion resistance and long-term reliability in potable water and industrial applications. An EPDM rubber seal provides a secure, leak-tight joint at the union face.

The ABS socket end is solvent welded into metric ABS pipe using ABS solvent cement and cleaner, while the female BSP thread connects to standard male threaded fittings. For best results, the use of PTFE tape on threaded joints is recommended.
