Description
The ABS Metric Composite Union Plain F x Thread M Stainless Steel fitting is designed to provide a secure and serviceable connection between metric ABS pipework and BSP female threaded components. Combining a lightweight ABS body with a 316L stainless steel male thread, this composite union delivers excellent corrosion resistance alongside the flexibility of a demountable joint.
One end features a plain ABS socket for solvent welding into metric ABS pipe, while the opposite end incorporates a male BSP stainless steel thread. The union assembly is sealed using a durable EPDM rubber seal, allowing the fitting to be easily disconnected for maintenance, inspection or system modification without cutting the pipework.
Installation is straightforward: the plain end is solvent welded using ABS solvent cement and cleaner, while the threaded end should be sealed using PTFE tape to ensure a leak-tight joint.
All stainless steel components are manufactured from 316L grade stainless steel, making this fitting particularly suitable for potable water, chemical handling and hygienic process applications.
