Description
This polypropylene end cap is used to permanently seal the end of a metric PP pipe within pressure-rated systems. Manufactured from high heat stabilised PP-B material, it provides a secure termination point that maintains the chemical resistance and pressure performance of the overall installation.
The cap is fusion welded directly onto the pipe, creating a homogeneous joint with excellent mechanical strength and long-term leak resistance. This makes it suitable for both permanent system closures and future expansion points where pipework may be extended at a later stage.
Polypropylene’s natural resistance to corrosion and chemical attack ensures reliable performance in aggressive environments where metal end caps may degrade. Its ductile properties also allow it to tolerate thermal expansion and minor movement without cracking, helping to protect the integrity of the pipe system.
Key Features & Benefits
