Description

This polypropylene metric x imperial socket adaptor is designed to bridge the gap between metric PP pipework and imperial-sized connections within pressure-rated systems. It provides a reliable solution where differing pipe standards need to be integrated, without introducing weak points or compatibility issues.

Manufactured from high heat stabilised polypropylene block copolymer (PP-B), the adaptor delivers excellent chemical resistance, impact strength and long-term durability. When installed using socket fusion welding, it forms a homogeneous joint that maintains system integrity even in demanding industrial environments.

Its smooth internal profile helps minimise pressure loss across the transition, while the lightweight nature of polypropylene simplifies handling and installation, particularly on larger diameter sizes.

Key Features & Benefits

  • 10 bar pressure rated: Suitable for pressure-bearing polypropylene pipe systems
  • Metric to imperial connection: Allows seamless integration of mixed-size pipework
  • PP-B material: Enhanced impact resistance compared to standard homopolymer PP
  • Wide temperature tolerance: Performs reliably from sub-zero conditions up to 120°C
  • Fusion weld jointing: Creates a strong, leak-resistant and permanent connection
  • Smooth bore design: Supports efficient flow and reduced turbulence
  • Corrosion resistant: Will not rust, scale or degrade in aggressive environments
  • Lightweight construction: Easier installation compared to metal adaptors
  • Versatile applications: Commonly used in chemical processing, water treatment, laboratories, food production and industrial manufacturing systems
