Description
The Geberit Mapress Copper Plain Reducer is designed to seamlessly connect copper pipes of different diameters in a press-fit system. This reducer allows for a smooth transition between varying pipe sizes, making it ideal for potable water installations, as well as heating and cooling circuits. With its concentric design, it ensures optimal flow performance while maintaining a secure, leak-proof connection.
Key Features
High-Quality Copper Material: Manufactured from Cu-DHP copper CW024A (EN 1412), the reducer offers excellent durability, corrosion resistance, and suitability for potable water, heating, and cooling applications.
Leak Detection: For diameters up to 54 mm, the fitting is designed to be leaky if unpressed, allowing installers to easily identify any missed connections during installation, ensuring a reliable and secure fit.
Concentric Design: The reducer is concentric, ensuring a smooth and balanced flow transition between pipes of different sizes, reducing turbulence and maintaining system efficiency.
Reliable Seal: CIIR black seal rings are used for diameters up to 54 mm, and EPDM black seal rings for sizes over 54 mm, ensuring a durable, leak-proof connection.
No Hot Works Required: The press-fit technology eliminates the need for welding or soldering, making installation faster, safer, and more cost-effective, with no fire hazards.
Clean and Hygienic: The seal rings are protected from dirt during the installation process, ensuring a clean and hygienic fit, especially important in potable water systems.
Clear Identification: The fitting is equipped with pressing indicators and transparent protection plugs, making it easy to identify and differentiate from third-party products during installation, reducing the risk of errors.
Versatile Application: Suitable for both surface-mounted and concealed installations, the reducer can be used in a wide range of systems, including residential, industrial, and renovation projects.

(1) Usable negative pressure for Geberit piping systems: The usable negative pressure results from the air pressure at the installation site minus the absolute pressure of 200 mbar. Example: 980 mbar air pressure - 200 mbar absolute pressure = 780 mbar usable negative pressure in the piping system
(2) Usable negative pressure for Geberit piping systems: The usable negative pressure is calculated on the basis of the air pressure at the place of installation minus the absolute pressure of 200 mbar. Example: 980 mbar air pressure - 200 mbar absolute pressure = 780 mbar usable negative pressure in the piping system
(3) Lifetime with collector standstill: 200 h/a at 180 °C; 60 h/a at 200 °C; total 500 h/lifetime at 220 °C
(4) Use of inhibitors, corrosion-protection agents, antifreeze agents only after approval by Geberit
(5) 10 bar / 1000 kPa for MasterFix and MeplaFix
(6) Approved up to d54 mm
(7) Following Geberit approval
(8) Oil purity class in accordance with ISO 8573-1:2010E; for details on moisture and particles, see technical information "Geberit Piping Systems for Compressed Air Installations"
(9) Not for fittings with EPDM, black seal rings
