Description

This 90° polypropylene elbow is designed to change the direction of flow in metric PP pipe systems while maintaining pressure integrity and chemical resistance. Manufactured from high heat stabilised PP-B, it is suitable for use in industrial applications where elevated temperatures and aggressive media are present.

The fitting connects two pipes of equal diameter at a right angle, creating a compact and durable directional change within the pipeline. When fusion welded, the elbow forms a homogeneous joint that delivers long-term leak resistance and excellent mechanical strength.

Polypropylene’s inherent resistance to corrosion and scaling makes this elbow well suited to installations where metal fittings would deteriorate over time. Its ductile nature also allows it to absorb thermal expansion and system movement, helping to reduce stress within rigid pipework layouts.

Key Features & Benefits

  • 10 bar pressure rating: Suitable for pressure-rated polypropylene pipe systems
  • Right-angle flow change: Provides a neat and efficient 90° directional transition
  • PP-B construction: Enhanced impact resistance compared to homopolymer polypropylene, particularly at low temperatures
  • Wide temperature performance: Operates reliably from -20°C to 120°C under continuous conditions
  • Fusion welded connection: Produces a strong, permanent joint with excellent chemical resistance
  • Smooth internal bore: Maintains flow efficiency and reduces pressure loss through the bend
  • Corrosion resistant: Immune to rust, scale and chemical degradation
  • Lightweight design: Easier handling and faster installation than metallic elbows
  • Industrial versatility: Commonly used in chemical processing, laboratories, water treatment, food production and manufacturing systems
