Description
The Durapipe ABS Y Strainer is designed to protect downstream equipment by removing suspended solid particles from fluid systems. Using an internal perforated filter screen, the strainer captures debris such as scale, grit and sediment before it can reach sensitive components like valves, pumps and meters.
Manufactured from high-quality ABS and sealed with EPDM, this Y strainer offers excellent chemical resistance, durability and reliable performance across a wide range of industrial and water applications. Its lightweight construction makes handling and installation straightforward, while maintaining the strength required for pressurised systems.
The Y-shaped body promotes smooth flow through the pipeline while directing contaminants into the filter chamber. Maintenance can be carried out without removing the strainer body from the line, reducing downtime and simplifying routine cleaning. The removable bonnet and internal screen allow quick access for inspection or replacement.
Plain solvent-weld ends ensure secure integration with ABS pipework systems. When installing, ABS solvent cement and cleaner should be used to achieve strong, leak-free joints.
