Description
This polypropylene pressure pipe is designed for applications where higher operating pressures are required alongside excellent thermal and chemical performance. Manufactured from PP-B material, it combines mechanical strength with flexibility, allowing it to perform reliably in demanding industrial environments.
The pipe offers strong resistance to aggressive chemicals while maintaining dimensional stability at elevated temperatures. Its smooth internal surface promotes efficient flow and helps reduce pressure losses across the system, supporting consistent performance in both process and utility pipework.
Unlike metallic alternatives, polypropylene will not corrode or scale, reducing long-term maintenance requirements. The material’s ductile nature also allows it to absorb movement and stress without cracking, making it suitable for installations exposed to vibration, ground movement or thermal cycling.
Key Features & Benefits
- Higher pressure capability: Rated to 10 bar, making it suitable for more demanding process systems
- Wide temperature tolerance: Operates reliably from -20°C up to 120°C under continuous conditions
- Chemically robust material: Resistant to a broad range of acids, alkalis and industrial chemicals
- PP-B composition: Block copolymer structure improves impact resistance compared to standard homopolymer polypropylene
- Low friction bore: Smooth internal walls help maintain flow efficiency and minimise energy losses
- Lightweight construction: Simplifies handling and reduces installation time on site
- Movement tolerant: Ductile behaviour allows the pipe to flex and recover, reducing the risk of stress-related failure
- Corrosion free: Suitable for buried, exposed or concrete-encased installations without degradation
- Industrial versatility: Commonly used in chemical processing, water treatment, laboratories, food production and manufacturing environments
