Useful Info:
The glass fibre yarn interior protects against hose operating temperatures of up to 250°C. The high grade outer cover is produced from an iron oxide silicone elastomer rubber which protects against exposure to flame whilst also possessing the ability to withstand molten splash temperatures of up to 1200°C. When exposed to flame the outer rubber performs a protective SiO₂ layer. This sleeve provides protection to the user against burns from steam lines and hot hoses while offering protection to the hose against flame and abrasion and helping in the reduction of energy loss by retaining the heat within the pipework.
