Description
The PP Tee 90 is a plain polypropylene fitting used to connect three lengths of PPh pipe of equal diameter, forming a right-angle branch within a pipeline. Produced to BS 4991 : 1974, it is intended for industrial polypropylene systems where chemical resistance, mechanical strength and long service life are required.
All three ends are plain sockets, allowing installation by socket fusion welding. This process creates a homogeneous, leak-free joint that becomes part of the pipe itself, providing excellent reliability even in demanding environments. The smooth internal geometry supports efficient flow through both the main run and the branch.
Lightweight and corrosion-resistant, PP 90° tees offer a practical alternative to metal fittings in aggressive or high-purity applications.
Key Features & Benefits
- 90° branching connection: Creates a perpendicular outlet from the main pipe run
- Socket fusion joints: Strong, permanent and leak-tight connections
- Standards compliant: Manufactured to BS 4991 : 1974
- High chemical resistance: Suitable for a wide range of aggressive fluids
- Smooth internal bore: Minimises pressure loss and flow disruption
- Impact resistant: Performs reliably down to sub-zero temperatures
- Maintenance free: Will not corrode, rot or scale
- Broad size range: Available from 1/2" to 6"
