We Have Two Job Opportunities

The Warehouse position involves the following:

The work environment is clean and the products are easy to handle. However, the position does require the lifting of boxes and pipe that can weigh around 20kgs. We also have a forklift and candidates with a forklift licence will be of greater interest.

• Unloading deliveries from trucks and vans by hand or forklift
• Checking off orders against suppliers packing list
• Putting stock away on shelving and in bins
• Carry out spot stock checks to check computer accuracy
• Advise purchasing of items that are getting low in stock
• Advise purchasing of packaging materials that need to be ordered
• Pick orders from shelving and bins
• Double check each others picking list with order
• Pack and package orders for shipping
• Advise sales office of consignment quantities
• Attach shipping labels to the consignment
• Check the number of consignments against shipping report
• Load shipping tucks and vans by hand or forklift
• Ensure driver signs for correct consignments
• Tidy up around packaging area and sweep up
• Empty warehouse rubbish bin

The Website Editor's position involves the following:

• Develop an understanding of the products that we sell and their application.
• Maintain and manage existing product records and prices in an Access Database.
• Add new products, codes, descriptions and prices to the Access Database.
• Responsible for maintaining and managing product content for the website.
• Producing product content and information for the website for new products down to an individual product record.
• Maintaining and developing content for non product pages on the website.
• Being part of the team and contributing new ideas to improve business performance.

For the Website Editors position we are looking for candidates with an excellent standard of comprehension and English Language skills. The successful candidate will be expected to learn some product knowledge for each of our products ranges. This information will be derived from manufacturer’s data sheets and other sources. They will then need to produce from this information; unique, clear and well written product content and information for our website.
 
Additionally, the successful candidate will need to be fairly savvy and competent with MS Excel and an existing ability with MS Access would be a distinct advantage. All product records are managed and controlled in an Access Database.
 
This is a newly created position and we are looking for the successful candidate to be proactive and show good initiative in working into all areas of the job as detailed above.

Hours: Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm
 
Annual Leave: 20 days plus extra days for a 2 week Christmas shut down
Salary: Salary to be discussed dependent upon experience
